 MARITIME OPERATIONS
Additional to performing Shipping Operations related to import/export of own cargoes, Abinsa performs Shipping Agency Operations for those ship owners that entrust us with them, particularly to Galapagos ports. Continental port representation is also performed.

Capt. Rafael A. Castro is the person in charge of the Galapagos representation. His career includes services to research ships from University of Hawaii, NOOA, Woods Hole Ocean Institute, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, ex-U.S.S.R. Marine Studies Institution, to name some. For over 40 years to this date, the liaison in/with the Galapagos archipelago is deep: family roots in the archipelago-province allows him an essential knowledge of what a research vessel can expect in Galapagos; his experience onboard his own cargo vessels trading between continent and the archipelago, gives him an unsurpassed edge of knowledge; years of shipping representation both in Galapagos and in continental ports, including liners and all types of cargo ships only complement the necessary experience to anticipate all vessel’s needs.
